International students form a significant (and rapidly growing) minority at Harvard Law School’s J.D. program. We face unique challenges–regarding employment, financial aid, clerkships, and immigration–that are often overlooked or misunderstood by an academic program geared towards American students. Moreover, second- and third-year international students lack the opportunity to connect with their first-year peers and share their knowledge and experience.
IJD Society was founded in 2013 with three key aims in mind: to organize the international J.D. community; serve as an advocate for their needs; and act as a valuable resource for incoming students regarding everything from winterwear to summer employment!
