October 25 from 12-1pm<br />
WCC 1010</p>
<p>HIP, along with the ACLU, BLSA, ACS, Alianza and the NLG, are hosting Nina Perales, Director of Litigation for MALDEF, to discuss her current work on voting rights. MALDEF&#8217;s docket includes cases that approach voting rights from multiple angles, including redistricting, identification requirements, and protecting minority voting rights. As a leader in the field, Nina will have the chance to share her work on those cases and her thoughts on voting rights, an issue that has gotten considerable attention in the lead-up to this year&#8217;s election.<br />
Lunch will be provided.<br />

<p>Nina Perales will discuss the path she has followed to become the Director of Litigation for MALDEF.
