Do police need a warrant before attaching a GPS Tracker to your car? Judge for yourself at an exclusive argument preview of the upcoming Supreme Court case, United States v. Jones, which the New York Times has called “the most important Fourth Amendment case in a decade.”
Stephen Leckar and Micah Smith, counsel for Jones, will moot the case for the HLS community before it is argued in the Supreme Court. Distinguished HLS Professors Suk and Steiker, as well as the Honorable Peter Rubin of the Massachusetts Appeals Court, will preside and ask all the hard-hitting questions simulating the drama of Supreme Court advocacy.
The event is in the Ames Courtroom in Austin, on Tuesday October 25 from 5:00-6:00pm.
Hosted by the Milbank Memorial Fund, the American Constitution Society, and the Federalist Society.
