Please join the International Human Rights Clinic for a conversation with Doron Isaacs, Deputy General Secretary of Equal Education (EE). EE is South Africa’s largest education rights organization — a social movement consisting of students, parents, teachers, and ordinary citizens. The organization works for quality and equality in South African education, and runs evidence-informed campaigns that shape the national education agenda. Legal analysis, legislative engagement, and litigation are important aspects of EE’s work. Mr. Isaacs will discuss the history and present reality of education in South Africa, some of EE’s prominent campaigns and cases, and the innovative strategies and tactics used by EE to advance the rights to education and equality. Space is limited to allow for meaningful discussion, so please RSVP by October 25th to firstname.lastname@example.org. Lunch will be provided.
