Over the last few years, the Moot Court Board has helped expand HLS’s moot court offerings to 6 teams. In addition, the Moot Court Board helps coordinate events related to international law and moot court on campus, including bringing international law experts and practitioners to Harvard to speak about their careers and expertise.

 

External moot court competitions generally involve writing multiple briefs and conducting oral arguments on issues related to a fictional fact pattern. Competitors are scored based on their brief-writing and oral argument skills. Harvard competes against schools from around the world in locations around the world, including New York, Washington, DC, Boston, New Orleans, Germany, France, the U.K., Vienna, Hong Kong, Geneva, and other locations.
