Dear 1Ls,
Welcome to Harvard Law School! We are pleased in to invite you to join the HLS Student Animal Legal Defense Fund (SALDF), the primary organization on campus for students interested in animal protection. Our focus is raising awareness of animal law at Harvard, and creating opportunities and connections for students interested in the field. You can read more about our chapter’s history and goals here.
We put on a number of events throughout the school year. This year, we plan to bring in speakers on animal rights and welfare, lend support to local animal organizations through fundraising and volunteering, organize animal-issue-related field trips, and, of course, provide opportunities for animal lovers at HLS to come together over great food.
