Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam will deliver a lecture on “Leadership, Youth and Global Engagement.” Dr. Kalam served as the 11th President of India, from 2002 to 2007; during that time, he came to be known as the “People’s President,” and was subsequently selected as “India’s Best President” in a CNN-IBN poll. The recipient of honorary degrees from some 30 universities and institutions, Dr. Kalam is currently the chancellor of the Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology and serves as a faculty member at several other academic and research institutions in India.
