Fall 2013 SRB Elections

Accepting Candidate Statements NOW through 8 pm, Saturday, 9/28

Be Part of the Student Body’s Voice to the HLS Administration!

What does the SRB do?

·       Advocates for the interests of the student body

·       Promotes campus wide community building

·       Coordinates with and assists other student organizations

SRB is the student government/advocacy organization at Harvard Law School. While all currently enrolled students are members of the SRB (and we want to hear what you have to say), we are looking for passionate students to serve on the elected Board. The commitment involves attendance at a meeting approximately once every three weeks and bringing up your classmates’ concerns. There are also opportunities to sign up for committees and help with planning events as your availability permits.

We are currently accepting candidate statements for the following unfilled Board positions:
One 1L Rep per Section
Two 2L Reps
Three 3L Reps
One Transfer Student Rep
Two LLM Reps
One SJD Rep
Statements should be short (no more than a page) and submitted via email to studentgov@mail.law.harvard.edu. Please include your name, class year, and why you want to be an SRB Rep. We will be accepting statements through 8 pm on Saturday, Sept. 28. We will then email candidates with relevant information related to campaigning, and statements will be posted for the student body on Sunday, Sept. 29. Campaigning will be permitted starting at 8 am on Monday, Sept. 30, and voting will be held on Friday, Oct. 4.
Participation on the SRB is a fun and rewarding way to experience HLS in a whole new way and an opportunity to make a real difference in the HLS community.
Please email with any questions.
