Upcoming Club Info Sessions

Hey Everyone,

For all those interested in learning about In Vino Veritas, we’ll be holding 2 info sessions the week of September 19th.

First, we’ll have a post at the Student Activities Fair on Wednesday, September 21st from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at Ropes Gray.

Second, we’ll be holding a lunchtime info session on Thursday, September 22nd from noon to 12:45 PM at Pound 102.

Interested in learning about wines firsthand from experts in the field, including some of the world’s best winemakers? Are you looking for a great way to relax and meet some of Harvard Law School’s most interesting students?

Then In Vino Veritas is the club for you. As Harvard Law School’s wine society, we’ll be introducing students of all experience levels to the world of wines through tastings, wine-paired dinners, and wine receptions. We encourage everybody with an interest in wine to apply.

The application can be found under the new In Vino Application tab on the main menu.

Applications are due on Monday, September 26th. All applications turned in beyond that date will be considered on a case by case basis. The admission fee for the club is $150.

Welcome to the new In Vino Veritas website! We’ll be updating it on a regular basis so check back soon. Want to learn more about our student organization? Here goes:

Our purpose is to introduce interested members of the Harvard Law School community to the exciting world of wine at formal tastings, informal blind tasting workshops, and tasting dinners at area restaurants. At our formal tastings, we will invite producers, importers, and local wine merchants to acquaint our members with the wines of a particular region and/or house. Members will learn to distinguish between grape varieties, regional variations, and winemaking processes at our informal blind tastings. Success at recognizing characteristics comes quickly once one learns the basic techniques, and as members’ familiarity increases, so too will enjoyment. The tasting dinners will be an opportunity for members to learn how to pair food with wine, as well as a time for enjoying the pleasure that fine food, wine and conversation bring.
