Zia Mody is one of India’s leading corporate attorneys and founder of AZB & Partners, one of the country’s most successful law firms. She built her career on being a hard-working and entrepreneurial leader with a “glass-ceiling-shattering spirit”. She worked at Baker & McKenzie in New York before returning home to India to start her own practice in 1984. She has earned a reputation as an M&A expert and is sought after by multinationals and billionaire clients. Over the past year, she has advised on Vedanta Resources’ $8.7 billion acquisition of a majority stake in Cairn India and BP’s $7.2 billion deal with Reliance Industries. She sits on the board of HSBC, Asia-Pacific.

She earned a degree from Selwyn College in Cambridge and her LL.M. from Harvard Law School.
